About the product
Introducing our state-of-the-art intelligent Ethernet (TCP/IP) controller, equipped with two relay outputs (potential free contacts/powered outputs) and four programmable digital inputs. This advanced device is capable of controlling two full normal doors/one bi-directional turnstile or one booth/mantrap, and can accommodate up to 4 readers. The SDC-320 is designed to provide maximum flexibility, with 2 x Wiegand readers able to be connected to the two onboard Wiegand interface connectors, and an additional 2 x RS485/OSDP readers able to be connected in a multi-drop configuration to the RS-485 reader network connector.
Our device comes with a reliable 15Vdc 5A power supply, complete with a battery backup of 7Ah. The SDC-320 is mounted in a secure enclosure, featuring a lockable door for added security.
For even greater flexibility and convenience, the SDC-320 can be networked to other SDC-320 controllers, creating a fully controllable networked access control system. This innovative approach provides centralized event reporting, centralized control over configuration, and user access rights, offering you a centralized and flexible solution to your access control needs.
Each controller is part of a network but can also run independently, making its own decisions and storing all events in case communication to the SACS Server is interrupted or lost. All events are automatically uploaded to the central SACS Server when communication is re-established.
The SDC-320 is supplied as a complete unit in a lockable cabinet with a power supply and battery. However, the controller can also be supplied as a PCB only, providing you with the flexibility to integrate the device into your existing access control infrastructure.
Installation
Our SDC Controller unit comes equipped with a comprehensive label on the inside of the cabinet door, providing clear and concise guidance on reader, input, and output connections. With dual-mode relays that can be set as powered outputs or potential-free relays (using the indicated jumpers), you can easily switch any lock or electrical device, ensuring maximum control and flexibility over your access control infrastructure.
Our controller communicates with the SACS Server via the standard TCP/IP protocol of a LAN/WAN, utilizing the onboard RJ45 connector. The unit can be configured to use a DHCP-assigned IP Address or be given a fixed/static IP address (recommended). The initial IP Address settings can be easily configured via the onboard OLED Display on the controller, and once communication is established, the access control configuration of the doors, readers, etc. can be easily managed using the SACS Software.
To ensure a trouble-free installation process, our device features diagnostic LEDs mounted close to their relevant terminals, providing additional support and guidance. End-of-line resistors can be switched into the circuit as required using the indicated jumpers, with external terminating resistors not required.
Our SDC Controller unit is designed with user-friendliness and flexibility in mind, providing you with a comprehensive and streamlined access control solution.
Operation
Any changes made at the PC are immediately communicated and stored at the controller. When a user presents their card to the reader, the controller identifies them and permits or denies access as appropriate.
