The Saflec Systems SSR-202 Wiegand Proximity Card Reader is a reliable, secure, dependable, cost-effective access control solution for various applications.
The reader uses the Wiegand protocol for communication, enabling it to transmit data to 3rd-party access controllers and Wiegand-enabled Saflec Systems controllers and expansion boards.
The reader supports multiple card technologies and offers easy-to-use configuration in our SACS software interface, enabling efficient access control to restricted areas while maintaining the safety and security of personnel and assets.
The reader’s housing is an attractive yet robust ABS plastic enclosure.
Installation
We have designed this cutting-edge reader to be seamlessly connected to our range of top-of-the-line controllers, including the SDC-620 Wiegand Door Controller and the SDC-320 Wiegand Two Door Controller. In addition, it can be connected to the SEB-722 remote IO expansion board.
The weather resistant (IP54 rated) housing design incorporates a clip and screw closing mechanism, ensuring a neat and tidy installation with the screw out of plain view on the underside of the reader.
Operation
Any changes made at the PC are immediately communicated and stored at the controller. When a user presents their card to the reader, the controller identifies them and permits or denies access as appropriate.
