Channel for sending SMS via mobile terminal

Alarming by SMS via the mobile phone provider of your choice!

The SMS channel supports alarming via SMS transmission to all mobile networks worldwide – including to mobile phones, of course. In the event of an alarm, the SMS channel creates and sends SMS messages to the responsible participants. The message text consists of variables and is freely configurable.

Activating the transmission report guarantees the secure delivery of the SMS to the stored end devices. Various alarm scenarios can be implemented in connection with the escalation system, so that delivery and processing of a message are always guaranteed.

Simple acknowledgment

Recipients of a message can simply acknowledge it via a reply SMS – accept or reject. To do this, the text of the incoming SMS can be inserted into the reply SMS and supplemented by the desired acknowledgment. For example yes or no. A positive acknowledgment means that the participant takes care of the cause of the message and eliminates the reported fault. This simplified communication shortens the response time – the reaction time to a fault is reduced.

Transmission of the SMS via mobile terminals

The SMS channel requires a mobile terminal to send an SMS. This is connected to the PC/server of the Alarm Control Center: via a USB or serial cable. Furthermore, the terminal can be integrated into a TCP/IP Ethernet using a USB or Com Server. To be able to send or receive SMS, a valid SIM card is required.

We can provide you with the appropriate mobile terminal from our partner MC Technology with the necessary accessories.

No external access or readout possible

The SMS channel accesses the mobile terminal directly and exclusively and works independently of other networks and computer networks. Internet access is not required, and a separate power supply is used. Access or readout from the outside is therefore not possible. Additional security is provided by the option of deactivating internet access via the provider’s SIM card.
